Our Pillars

Reaching equity in Squash requires intention and action. These pillars ground us in the work that needs to be done.

Share

We aim to maintain a trusted, safe space where BIPOC leaders can come together to share experiences. A space were sharing struggles, challenges, insights, failures, and triumphs is encouraged. By cultivating a network of accomplished squash enthusiasts, we will drive needed change and eliminate the loneliness and isolation which has been a reality for members.

Learn

The squash journey is circuitous. There is no one playbook. BSA members have found career success in a variety of ways and spaces. Together, BSA members will serve as beacons to help illuminate and prepare for the path to greater success.

Pay it Forward

We will send the elevator back down so that new riders emerge at their destination faster, smarter, and more confident. We’ll leverage our successes to bring more BIPOC players into the fold through mentorship, internship, scholarship and sponsorship. We’ll strengthen the pipeline of current and future BIPOC talent, installing greater pride and determination to succeed.

Elevate

BIPOC squash players have achieved extraordinary success. By amplifying this excellence, more young players will be able to see themselves in amateur and professional roles and choose to pursue similar paths. We also want to insure that those already at the top get the visibility and recognition they deserve.

“Have a vision. Be demanding.” – Colin Powell

Why We Need BSA

More BIPOC squash players have clocked court time than ever before. Many have never been supported or challenged to excel at the game. Most have lost interest in the game and trust of the mainstream community. BSA was created to support a pipeline for young BIPOC players to rise to the top and give those already at the top a platform. As a member or an ally, you can help us make that happen.
